What's dilation??

Apparently my body does not know!  Women who give birth before their due dates are usually dilated a little bit my now (38 weeks).  However, my body has not started moving to make way for the baby.  He's probably going to be late, which is just fine! Now to finish the decorating of his room and cleaning of the house! Wish me luck!
