So we had our party on Friday Oct. 16th (yes, we are just now getting to the blog) and it went well. Of the 23 couples we invited we had 4 show up (remind me not to throw a party during October break, spring break, or winter break again) for our party. It was fun and gave us a chance to see some of our friends that we don't get to see very often but like to keep in contact with. It is hard to be social when one is ssoooo busy.
On Sunday the 18th we had my family over for dinner. Well, I guess it is more of my mom's family as they were all her siblings and mother, but that is tenicalities. The food was great and we have finally had people over for dinner and to see our house (it also gave us an excuse to go out and buy an 8 ft table as we have not had a table to eat off of since we bought our house as our last dinner table is being used as Shari's desk in the office). Yeah! We have finally had people over to the house and we did two events in one weekend. Guess we are done throwing parties till after the holidays, right!?. . .
I just finished my second week of my current class, but somehow managed to actually have some time on my hands (No chior practice, conference calls, homework, hometeaching, other church meetings, . . . ) so I thought that I would take a moment to write. Besides which, Shari and I needed to create a wishlist for Christmas and Birthdays over the next three month for those of you who are wondering what we need or want (also see gift card ideas at the bottom of this blog page).
Talk to you soon! Well . . . maybe not too soon . . . but hopefully before Christmas!
