Pageant Tryouts

Today was a fun day. Shari and I both went to the Easter Pageant tryouts and dropped off our stuff, met the directors, and will wait and see if we get cast this year. We are supposed to know if we made it or not by December 1, so as soon as we find out, we will let you know.

After tryouts, we went to dinner at Old Country Buffet and had ourselves some really yummy all you can eat. Shari had a salad plate, a dinner plate, and a desert plate. I had three dinner plates and a plate and a half of desert. I was so full that I told Shari that "I am F as is full." To which she immediately responded, "Yeah, F U ffuuuhhhhh" (while pointing at herself). To which I said, "You really shouldn't say that, it is not very nice."

There was then about a 2 second pause, followed by brief confusion then serious thinking . . . then a look of shock and horror (as she realized how many of her teenagers would interpret what she said) a long gasp of air and hands over her mouth, and then she said, "Oh my, I didn't mean it that way". Of course I knew that, and so it gave us something to laugh about the rest of the night. You know, for being around teenagers all the time and usually being the one to edit all phrases ether of us use, this was a really funny moment for me.

I love my Shari, because she is the cutest thing, and sometimes says the darnedest things too!
