Gender: the Saga Continues

So we went to the doctor today.  Our appointment was for 12:00pm and we saw the doctor about 12:45pm.  He asked if we wanted to know gender: I told him yes! He said, good, I want to know it too!  So he got me all situated and Ammon and I watched the screen in eager anticipation.  At first the doctor thought it was a girl, then later he thought it was a boy.  Eventually he decided that the umbilical cord was in the way and that we couldn't tell gender.  He jiggled the ultrasound device all over my tummy trying to get the cord to move.  It woke up the baby, made the baby move around, but alas, that cord did not give way!  So we do not know the gender!  We get to wait another 2 months before the insurance will let us do another ultrasound, so we will try to find out gender again!

One person said "She's being shy, it's a girl."

Ammon said: "It's a boy; he's living life between his legs!"

Oh the fun things we have to look forward to!!

We were able to see spine and ribs and a very nice picture of the face.  We got good pictures of the legs and the baby looking like it was sucking its thumb! We saw the little heart beat and it's starting to become real that we are actually going to be having a baby! We're excited to start feeling the baby move; should be soon!
