So Glen is 18months old and is finally walking on his own! He didn't start showing signs of walking until 17 months, and now he's great at it!
Here are a few of his funny things from yesterday. Oh yeah, and I'm pregnant with baby #2 (Find out gender on July 9 (Happy Birthday Parley)) which explains some of the not feeling well.
I was not feeling well in the afternoon and I was laying on the couch with my feet up and a cool cloth on my forehead. I was getting some relief from that process, but alas, that meant Glen was roaming our kitchen/living room/playroom (they are all right next to each other but 3 distinct spaces) unattended. So I called to him (I think he was playing with the cupboards that I haven't kid proofed yet) and said, "Glen, Hello? where are you? Come here! Hello?" Now, I had the wet cloth over my forehead and eyes so I hear, rather than see, my little guy walk thourgh the living room, past me, and into the play room. I'm thinking, "Fine! Don't say hello to your mother!" So I lift the cloth and he's coming back into the living room with his toy phone! He thought I was trying to talk to him on the phone with my Hello's! It was so cute!!
Glen is learning to give kisses. He even kisses "the baby" or my tummy! It's so fun!
Glen is obsessed with his meal time booster chair. He no longer likes sitting in it to eat, he instead likes to continuously put the buckle together. But can he get the buckle undone? NO!! So he comes to find me at whatever I am doing, takes my hand and pulls me over to the chair, puts my hand on the buckle and expects me to undo it for him. I knew this was going to happen yesterday while I was not feeling well. I tried to get him to bring the chair to me, but he pulled and pulled and only made it about 1/2 way to me. He then pulled some more and pulled it away from me. He got frustrated, so I reluctantly got up and tried to show him that he could push from the other side of the chair and get it to me. Eventually he was a happy boy because he could stand in front of his chair and have mommy undo the buckle over and over and over while she got better on the couch. He then got bored and stole my wet cloth. What a fun boy!
Glen likes to read the book "The Whells on the Bus". Yes, it's just like the song, but he likes the pictures, there's a cat on every page, which he loves kittens, cats, and wild large cats too! The book is also one of those with parts the flip, like the wipers and the door. He also loves doing the motion for the wheels. He will walk around the house looking for the book (I put it out of reach so he doesn't completely destroy it) while doing the hand motion for the wheels! I just love it!
