I guess I took a break from blogging!

Okay, so life happens. But does it happen for this long that keeps me from blogging? No! When I have taken this "vow" of silence in the past I've spent many days playing catch-up! Not today!

We're going great here in the Burtenshaw home! There is no snow! We have Spring Training just down the street and a great new park (sans swings) to play in! Being a stay at home mom is great! I do get online and tutor a few times a week and spent two months teaching a university night class where I had a "full" class of 1. Yep! 1 student! It was great for me to get my feet wet and learn the Upper Iowa University system. I taught college algebra and hope that they will have a need for me in the future.

Glen has started attending a small pre-school group on Monday mornings for an hour. It's a mommy-and-me type class in my friends' home. I love it! It's right during Glen's nap time, so when we get home, he takes a nice long nap.

On Tuesdays I attend a small work-out group with my ward. Once again, this is duirng Glen's nap time, so it's interesting for me to see Glen interact with the other kids while all the moms are trying to work out. Some days are better than others.

Thursdays are busy days! In the morning I watch the clock like a hawk for my time slot to sign up for tutoring hours for the next week. I was 4 minutes late this week...only got 1 hour. Sadly, I realized today that I have to cancel that hour because I forgot about Daylight savings! We sign up on Eastern Standard Time. Being in AZ means that 8pm EST is now 5pm, not 6pm. Ammon won't be home from work to watch the litle tike! Anyway, back to Thursdays. My calling in my ward right now is Wolf Den Leader. I have had the calling since last August and am hoping to stay in the calling for a while so that I can get good at it! But, Thursdays at 4pm my house is over-run with 5-7 eight year olds. They love Glen and have a blast hanging out with him! They even put up with my silly jokes! When the boys go home, my house feels very quiet and calm! I take a 2 minute breather then cook dinner and onthe first Thursday of the month, head to Round Table.  When I get home at 9pm, you can bet that I'm tired!

Fridays are spent trying to catch up on anything I've missed over the week and watching a show or two with my honey!

So yeah, I'm a stay at home mom, but I'm busy!!
