Today Ammon felt the baby kick for the first time. 25 weeks in and he's been trying for about month. He is usually not sure what he's feeling when I put his hand to my belly. I've been feeling the baby kick from the inside for a while and I know Ammon would get disappointed when he would put his hand to my belly and not feel anything.
Today that changed. I was standing next to Ammon while he was doing his homework for class. Ammon patted my tummy and the baby kicked about 3 seconds later. He patted my tummy again and left his hand there this time, and presto! He finally felt the baby kick! He was excited about the baby before, but now it's more real.
On another baby note, we got the old tiles in the baby's room scraped off the floor and thrown out. Ammon did the scraping and I did the shoveling. I got quite the workout! Thank you to Pete and Kathy Martin for the use of their tile scraping tool. It made Ammon's part 10 minutes instead of 2 and half hours! My part of didn't take that long either. Not bad for one day!
