Gender revealed...finally!

Ammon and I had another doctor's appointment today.  I took the day off of work and we ran errands in the morning before the 11 am appointment.  We bought paint for the baby's room, went to the bank and Ammon went to school and printed a chapter of his text book for class.

At 10:50 am we showed up for our appointment.  I got checked in and there was not as long a wait as there had been in the past.  We waited about 10 minutes before they took me back and got my weight, height, blood pressure, and urine sample.  Then the waiting began.  We waited and waited and the nurse came in saying that the doctor just got a call from the hospital and he might have to leave to deliver a baby.  Oh no,  I'm going to have to wait even longer to find out gender!  Ammon commented, "Maybe we're not supposed to know gender."  I didn't like that answer AT ALL!  The nurse brought us water then came back a few minutes later and gave us a thumbs up, which I took to mean that we were going to have the ultrasound after all.  Thank goodness!

A few minutes later the doctor came in and he started by measuring the head and legs.  Eventually we got to what was on everyone's mind: gender!

The top picture is of the knee and leg.  I thought the picture turned out really well.  The bottom picture is a picture of our little BOY! Yep! We're having a boy! We're very excited that we finally get to know gender!  We're not sure about baby names yet; we have a few favorites but want to wait to assign a name until the little tike is in my arms!  Only 3 more months!
