CA Vacation Days 9-10

Sunday was so nice! My dad is on the High Council for his stake and had a speaking assignment in the other ward in Morgan Hill.  So my mom and I (with Glen) went to hear him speak at 9am church and called it good for the day.  We had a great, relaxing day and the temps even came down a bit, so the upstairs was bearable during the hottest time of day.

Glen did not want to sleep though! He took a later nap, so I didn't expect him to go to be early, but 9:45 is a bit late!! I was definitely ready for him to sleep at that point! Then he woke up at 2, 4, and 6. At 7 I took him down stairs for some breakfast and had the grandparents watch him while I went back to bed! I slept for another hour and a half! Glen was asleep when I got up and ended up taking a two hour nap!

We had lunch out with my dad and then we went to Hobby Lobby to start gathering items for an activity quilt I would like to make for Glen.  I would like it to be a quiet blanket so we can take it to church.  I've thought of snaps, buttons, a zipper, ribbons for the edge and straps.  Glen has this thing for chewing on the straps for his high chair or stroller, so I think it would be a good thing to add.

At Hobby Lobby Glen was King of the Stroller!! And I took his picture just as he was blinking! Too funny!
Not so sure about the hat I tried on him.
 Ok, it's better!
After Hobby Lobby Glen took a 2 hour nap! Happy day!! After dinner we had some pool time. What fun!

How can you not love those deep baby blue eyes?? So adorable!!
His jaw started to shake up and down, so I think it was time to get him warm! It was really warm today (100 degrees) but the clouds came in and cooler weather took over as the sun set.  It was very pleasant, if you weren't wet with cold water.

FUn! I'll be looking forward to seeing the activity blanket. That sounds like a great idea! I know what you mean about warm temps we've been sweating it out here in the 80degree weather. (with the humidity it feels hotter) I don't want to run the AC unless it's unbearable and so far the fans have kept us cool-ish.
