CA Trip Days 18-the rest!! First Teeth and Swinging!

So, I've home from my trip for...awhile...and just need to finish posting about it, so you're going to get a really long post.  But, seeing as how we didn't do much the last week of my trip, it shouldn't be too bad!

We had been in CA for so long that laundry needed to happen...and Glen got a ride back up stairs!

Glen kept trying to scoot himself from the sunroom up into the kitchen, he never actually made it. I was afraid he was going to fall and smash his cute little face into the hard metal being covered up by the rug.
 Close up!
The beginnings of the activity quilt.  This is why we didn't "do" much this week. Some of my spare time was spent sewing this together. By the time we left for home, the top portion was done and I just needed to sew the batting in between the top and bottom and put on the binding. I had a goal do get it done when I got home, which I did!! I'll show the finished product in another post!
Glen's new game of riding my feet like a horse! He loves it!
Good buds! You had to watch out for these two! They were usually up to trouble when together!
All of the "activities" were ready to sew on to the individual squares!! Thank you Mom for helping with the zipper and the button hole! The pocket turned out great!

Teeth!! My baby's teeth poked through on July 11th.  The top picture was taken on Saturday the 13th when they were a little more visible.

Glen loved this jumper! We were cooling off his feet with some water-he loved it! Glen's teeth had come in at this point, however, the bit of white in this picture is just the reflection of the flash on his wet tongue.
On Monday July 15th, we went to Livermore and visited with Maggie, Alyse and Grace.  We brought lunch and had a picnic at a park. Glen got to try the swings for the very first time! Oh my...I don't think he could get any happier!

Watching cousin Alyse being pushed on her swing!
Yes, Mommy, I like the swing! I also like sucking on the swing, which is why my face has these weird red marks on them!

I also like watching my shadow move as I swing!
Hi Alyse! Thank you for being a fun cousin and pushing me on the swing! You're the best!

This was after lunch and he was done with his hat!

Tuesday afternoon we loaded everything into my mom's SUV and went to the airport. The line for security was longer than I would have liked, but it went ok.  The agent on the other side of the metal detector was making faces at Glen and he just smiled the whole time! It was great! We boarded the plane and ended up with no one sitting in the middle seat, so the other mom and I could use that to help with the baby baggage.  Yea, another new mom came and sat down next to me. Her daughter was 5 months old and slept the whole time.  Glen slept for about half the flight, so I was happy! It was crazy how much we two mom's had in common. We were both teachers, both had young kids, and both were addicted to Candy Crush Saga, a game on Facebook.  We were even on the same level! It was crazy how much we had in common! We had a good time chatting and helping each other with our kids.

Ammon picked us up from the airport.  He had driven my car to work that day so that we could go meet with his faculty adviser after work then come get us. Unfortunately, he forgot to put the carseat in the car, so he rushed home then came and got us.

I tried to figure out how to get me, Glen, the stroller, a back pack, his diaper bag and two suitcases to the waiting area. There were some chairs inside that I stationed ourselves at until Ammon got there.  I wish I had gotten a picture of my ingenuity with the bags! I used the basket in the stroller for Glen's diaper bag, carried the back pack on my back, placed the small suit case IN the stroller instead of Glen, placed Glen on top of the stroller where the drinks go, pushed the stroller and help on the Glen with the right hand and pulled the big suitcase with my left hand! I got many people to chuckle and shake their head at me! It was great!

Ammon got there, we got loaded, and got home without problems! I'm so glad to be home and trying my hand as the stay-at-home-mom. Loving it so far!
