Easter Pageant News

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about some exciting news!

Some of you already know that I tried out for Easter pageant last November hoping to be a herald angel (angel on stage above stage) as I have done in the past two years. Instead I was cast as a sepulcher angel and as a member of the multitude. This has been exciting and I have been looking forward to this, especially since we have already had a couple of practices.

The exciting news . . . drum roll please . . . are you in suspense yet . . .

Okay, so Friday night after my sepulchre angel practice I was talking with some of the birth angels (girl angels on the stage above the stage) and one of my friends from the last two years has been put in charge this year as the normal angel director is having issues with her pregnancy . . . anyway, my friend has an even number of guys this year and she was trying to figure out how to arrange everyone and asked me if I wanted to come up on top and help out in the final scene. I said, "If you can convince Lynn (angel/dancer choreographer) then I will be there in a heart beat!"

Anyway on Saturday about mid-day, my friend comes to me and says that I am in! YEAH! I get to be way up on top one last time! I love being an angel!

Okay, for those of you who are going to make pageant, I am going to tell you where you can look for me. (by the way, I have a head full of blond hair so don't look for dark). My first scene is during the miracles that Christ preforms. It is kind of a where's Waldo scene, but I am up on the stage in the back near the arch that is by the BIG rock. Don't look for blond hair here as my hat will cover it completely.

My next scene is also a where's Waldo during the Triumphal entry of Jesus on the mule when he arrives in Jerusalem. In this scene I will be down on the grass under the BIG rock, if you can find me.

The next scene will be easy to spot me, as that is when the two angels appear to Mary at the sepulchre. I will be the one that speaks to Mary, from the top of the BIG rock, and I have long blond hair, the other angel has black military hair.

Then the last scene that I am in is when Christ ascends to heaven. This time I will be on the opposite side of the stage (south side, or left side if you are sitting in the audience). I will be near the back and one of the guys holding the trumpet. I will be the shortest guy angle with long blond hair as there are a couple of tall Rhoner boys with long blond hair as well.
