CA Vacay Days 5-7

These have been very fun days!
Wednesday I got to see my 3rd grade teacher, Toby Weiss. We went to lunch and then she took us shopping and bought a few things for Glen.  She's so nice! Can you believe that I didn't get a picture with her? Anyway, no pictures...
Thursday I got to see my friend Tierney Kirk. She grew up in my ward and now lives in Sunnyvale with her husband and cute son.  She was up in Morgan Hill visiting her family, so I visited with them too! That was fun! Her brother is 15 and her sister is 13...I think.  I used to baby sit her siblings! The little boys had a good time hanging out together and Glen even took a short nap while we were there.
On Friday, Derek had the day off of work so we ventured further from Morgan Hill. We went to Monterey/Pacific Grove area.  We also left Morgan hill because it was going to be a really hot day (around 100 degrees) and my parents house doesn't have AC, so going to cooler weather was needed! Glen took a nap while we drove there and was still sleeping when we arrived, so we drove around a little bit more and decided on a place to eat.  The beach was fogged in and about 65 degrees.  Morgan Hill was sunny and about 100...yep I'm glad we left! We put on our shoes and socks, coats, and hats and set off for the 17th Street Grille.  We were able to get a close parking spot and put Glen in the stroller and bundled him up in long pants and hoodie and socks and a blanket. No cold baby for me!

the food at the grille place was so good! Derek had a Philly Cheese Steak, I had a Mushroom Burger with Swiss cheese and mom had a burger with onion rings.  We enjoyed all of the food!Glen ate a whole container of yogurt while there and woo-ed the ladies in line behind us.  He's so cute!
We then walked around a bit and I picked up a few souvenirs. I got a magnet to go on our fridge and my mom picked up a cute otter puppet.  Glen already loves it!

Since we were right there, we had to take Glen to the ocean, even though it was kinda cold.

We were right at the waters edge but it wasn't getting us very wet so I went a little bit further and then the bigger wave hit!

I don't think he liked the water all that much, but the sand was interesting! I'm so glad he didn't put the sand in his mouth!

These two have become the best buds!!

We loaded back in the car and Glen was out within 2 minutes! He got a great nap on the way home!

We got home and my parents put a little window AC unit in the front room and we hung out there before dinner. That's what Glen is staring at that is not in the picture.

Glen even got some time with Grandpa! He loves to play with and suck on grandpa's watch!

We then went out for dinner to Round Table Pizza.  Our house was just too hot to be in! We got there and their AC wasn't working great, but their back room had AC, so we enjoyed our time there. And of course, Glen was the charmer and smiling at everyone around.

We got home after Glen's bed-time, so we gave him a quick bath, sang two songs and put him to bed in just his diaper, since it was still pretty warm.  By 12:30, when he woke up cold, I needed to close his window.  But it sure felt good to have the cool breeze blow through the house!
